Nebraska Football landed a commitment from the JUCO prospect Tuesday.
Nebraska Football landed a commitment from a junior-college prospect with international flair. 2020 strong-side defensive end Junior Aho committed to the program on Tuesday. He made the announcement via Twitter.
Aho is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite JUCO Rankings, but he is ranked by 247Sports. They have him as a three-star recruit and the top player in France. He currently plays football at New Mexico Military Institute.
In nine games played this season, he recorded 37 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
He did not have a ton of offers, and perhaps the most notable one is Minnesota. In addition to Nebraska and Minnesota, he has also received offers from Kent State, Louisiana Tech, SMU, and Western Kentucky.
Nebraska currently has one other strong side defensive end in the 2020 class. Baylor Brannan, who hails from Omaha, fills the distinction.
When I watch some of his tape, he is definitely strong. He has a tremendous amount of muscle, and he uses it to overpower his opposition and get to the quarterback. He is still very raw in terms of technique and talent, but he can overcome that due to his strength. He should definitely be a bona fide passing threat once he gets to Lincoln. His strength will serve him well against Big Ten offensive lines, which are some of the toughest in the country.
